Fly to Tianjin airport. Tianjin airport (TSN) has direct flights from all major cities within Mainland China, as well as direct flights from Taipei, Hong Kong, Seoul, Osaka, Nagoya. The ground transportation from Tianjin airport to the Nankai campus is usually by Taxi, which is about 40 minutes for 23-25 km (in normal traffic), the cost being about 80 Yuan. You can also take Tianjin Metro Line 2 from the airport into the city where you can transfer to a taxi. Tianta Station on Metro Line 3 is about 1.5km from Nankai University.
Fly to Beijing airport. Beijing airport (PEK) is one of the world's largest airports with flights from almost all major airports around the world. PEK is about 160km away from the Nankai campus. The best way to arrive at the Nankai campus from PEK is to take the airport shuttle from PEK to Tianjin (82 Yuan). It takes about 2.5-3 hours depending on traffic. The shuttle leaves Beijing airport every 30-45 minutes during daytime. After arriving in Tianjin, you can take a Taxi to Nankai University (about 20 Yuan).
Take trains. There are three passenger railway stations in the coastal city Tianjin, naming Tianjin (East) Railway Station, Tianjin South Railway Station and Tianjin West Railway Station respectively.
Tianjin (East) Railway Station, the city's major railway station with the largest passenger traffic volume, is about 9km away from the Nankai campus. It takes about 30 minutes by taxi.
Tianjin South Railway Station, one of the most important middle stops on Beijing-Shanghai (Jing-hu) High Speed Railway, is about 15km away from the Nankai campus. It takes about 25 minutes by taxi.
Tianjin West Railway Station, used by some high speed bullet D trains and G trains running from Tianjin to Hangzhou, Qingdao and Shanghai, is about 10km away from the Nankai campus. It takes about 25 minutes by taxi.
We suggest you to check the ticket carefully before the journey to make sure you will not mistake the departure station.
Tianjin Metro. You can take Tianjin Metro from the airport or the railway station to a station near Nankai University. Tianta Station on Metro Line 3 is about 1.5km from Nankai University and Tiantuo Station on Metro Line 6 is about 0.8km from Nankai University. The metro ticket is 3-5 Yuan.
